Summary:

TIAA is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Manager/Technology Delivery Manager for their Charlotte, NC, Iselin, NJ, or New York City office. This position will manage the end-to-end delivery of business/technology solutions that will support the Digital/Retail Financial Services Lines-of-Businesses. This role will provide technology leadership in the planning and strategy, architecture, deployment, management and operation of essential IT infrastructure services.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth technical experience with technology solution design and delivery across multiple technologies and possess an understanding of technology-governance frameworks, security, infrastructure and applications used in financial services. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Communicate the business value of technology programs to senior business stakeholders
  • Manage the stakeholders’ expectations and perceptions regarding the infrastructure delivery services
  • Own, develop and maintain strong relationships with the AppDev teams, business leaders, as well as leaders in the PS&A organization and Cybersecurity organizations
  • Understand and proactively identify opportunities to support the future state evolution of the business; be aware of the strategic direction of the organization as well as new technologies on the horizon
  • Convey complex and technical issues to senior business stakeholders
  • Open and maintain proactive formal and informal lines of communications as required to raise awareness across organizational boundaries
  • Participate and coordinate complex integration services initiatives aligning to business objectives and goals
  • Meet customer expectations by analyzing, collecting requirements, scoping, assessing and delivering solutions that address the client’s business requirements and are within the scope of work as agreed
  • Collaborate with technical architects and engineers to ensure seamless integration of new technologies into existing service offerings
  • Interface across organizational boundaries (Cybersecurity, App/Dev, DevOps, Infrastructure and Architecture)
  • Ensure that standards and processes are being adhered to in a consistent manner
  • Provide guidance to business specific requirements toward corporate architectural standards while considering shareholder value and negotiate exceptions as required
  • Maintain Service Architecture standards and policies
  • Maintain a solid understanding of AppDev, Cybersecurity, PS&A and project portfolio and how they relate, impact, or depend upon Infrastructure PS&A products and services
  • Motivates team members, mentoring others as required and promoting mutual support and interaction
  • Listen carefully to stakeholders and provide advice, facilitates discussion and resolve conflict

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5+ year’s in-depth technical experience with technology solution design and delivery across multiple technologies with an understanding of technology-governance frameworks, security, infrastructure, and applications used in financial services
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience leading cross functional teams in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to establish strong partnerships with both internal/external stakeholders to set clear expectations
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique and coordination of people and resources
  • Broad experience across technical roles within all IT functional areas
  • Experience with Change Management, Business Systems Analysis and large scale Program Management
  • Broad technical knowledge with infrastructure technology, Application Development and Cloud Computing technologies
  • Ability to plan, create roadmaps and create strategies
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning skills to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate both in written documentation and verbal communication to all levels of stakeholders;
  • Ability to understand how technology relates to the goals of the organization
  • Aware of new technologies on the horizon in the marketplace
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and make presentations
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Exceptional understanding of infrastructure technologies, vendors and platforms
  • Experience working for a financial services company
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
  • Certification in Scrum Master, AWS, and Agile
  • Experience with Lean Enterprise and Continuous Improvement methodologies and techniques
