KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Oversee the creation and approval of technical documentation including solution definition documents and technical design documents
  • Ensure documentation is aligned to functional requirements and uses document templates that meet SDLC standards
  • Create architecture diagram and application flow diagram
  • Identify and manage dependencies and downstream impacts of the project to minimize adverse effects on other projects and / or programs
  • Manage day to day technical challenges and communicate to manager any risks or issues associated with the development activities
  • Assist manager with the estimation of technical timelines and allocation of the technical resources to specific task
  • Coordinate coding and unit testing phases of system development and facilitate code reviews
  • Identify opportunities for system reuse and system simplification
  • Communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to team members and hold them accountable to meet the expectations
  • Collaborate with technology partners to devise capacity plans and ensure appropriate infrastructure for the end to end system delivery
  • Respond to customer requests within the defined SLA
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Maintain the tool’s up-time at 99.9%

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in information science or technology or an engineering related degree
  • Seven or more years of experience of Java programing
  • Five or more years of experience levering development tools such as Eclipse, STS, Gradle, Jenkins, Git, Rational Suits and Artifactory
  • Experience in emerging platforms such as AWS, Docker, OpenShift and VMWare preferred
  • Experience in the deployment of automation and continuous delivery pipeline tools

Desired Experience

  • Core Java Concepts SOA – SOAP and REST Services preferred
  • Web Frameworks – Struts / Spring
  • Web Technologies like Angular, HTML, CSS, Javascript and JQuery
  • Database-Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB
  • Testing Tools: Selenium, SauceLabs, Service Virtualization, Cucumber
  • Operating Systems: Linux, Windows, AIX, Solaris
  • Scripting Language: Pearl, Shell, Power Shell
  • Problem solving capability peered with strong communication skills
  • Application /Tools integration by designing database architecture and Web Services
  • Troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms
  • Experience working in an operations environment and familiar with Security, Disaster Recovery, High Availability, Failover and Redundancy
