Our client is looking for a Lead Data Scientist who will assist in building, shaping and running the company?s new and leading global Advanced Analytics practice. Besides Technical Leadership, duties and responsibilities include Predictive Modeling using SPSS Modeler & Watson Analytics; Test/Learn Analytics; Data Munging, Evaluation of current and emerging tools to recommend and architect a global reporting and analytics engine, e.g., R, Python, Spark, Hadoop, Qlik, Tableau, etc.

The Director of BI & Data Management will be in charge of running the business and stakeholder management side, while the Lead Data Scientist will run it from the technical side, setting the vision, strategy and direction for how they build the practice going forward over the next 3-5years.



Skills and Qualifications

?      Master?s degree, PhD preferred in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Econometrics, or related fields

?      Ideal candidate has been the most senior Data Scientist at their previous employer and must be able to demonstrate technical and strategic leadership in relation to Advanced Analytics Na Predictive Modeling

?      Five years of relevant experience and strong knowledge in at least one of the following fields: statistics, data mining, machine learning, statistics, operations research, econometrics, natural language processing, and/or information retrieval

?      Minimum 3years?experiencerequired using SPSS Modeler

?      Minimum 2years?experiencerequired using IBM Watson Analytics

?      Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with proven ability to translate business problems into analytical specifications and requirements

?      Deep experience in extracting, cleaning, preparing, and modeling data; command-line scripting, data structures, and algorithms; and working in a Windows environment

?      Proficiency with programming languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, Java, Scala) desirable

?      Strong project management, planning and leadership skills

?      Ability to present and discuss technical information in laymen?s terms
