Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership to a team of data architects and engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Data Architecture Design: Lead the design and development of our data architecture solutions, including data models, schemas, and architecture, to meet business requirements and ensure efficient data management and storage.
Data Modeling: Lead efforts to design and implement data models and schemas to support analytical and operational requirements, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and performance.
Data Integration: Lead the design and implementation of data integration solutions to integrate data from various sources into a unified data architecture, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
Data Governance: Define and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Performance Optimization: Lead efforts to optimize data architecture performance through indexing, partitioning, and other techniques, ensuring scalability and responsiveness for analytical and reporting needs.
Metadata Management: Establish and maintain metadata management processes to capture and maintain metadata for data assets, ensuring data lineage, governance, and traceability.
Data Security: Lead efforts to implement data security controls and encryption mechanisms to protect sensitive data assets and ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
Documentation and Best Practices: Define and promote best practices for data architecture design and development, ensuring clear and comprehensive documentation to facilitate understanding and collaboration among team members.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts, to understand requirements and deliver data architecture solutions that meet business needs.
Mentorship and Development: Mentor and coach junior architects and engineers, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for skill development and career growth.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
10+ years of experience in data architecture, with significant experience in designing, building, and optimizing data architecture solutions.
Proven leadership experience, with a track record of successfully leading data architecture teams and delivering complex projects.
Proficiency in data modeling tools and techniques, with experience designing and implementing data models and schemas for data warehouses, data lakes, and other data systems.
Strong understanding of data integration concepts and techniques, with experience integrating data from diverse sources and systems.
Experience with data governance frameworks and best practices, including data quality management, metadata management, and data lineage tracking.
Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking, with the ability to design and troubleshoot complex data architecture issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
