The Lead Content Strategist is responsible for the data-driven development, presentation and execution of content strategy across WWE’s multiplatform touchpoints, reaching nearly 900 million global followers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with fellow team leads in developing creative, content-focused marketing strategies on WWE’s platforms to maximize KPI strength (consumption, time spent)
  • Strategize and develop effective social campaigns for internal and third-party initiatives, including sponsored executions
  • Identify new monetization opportunities for WWE digital/social content across platforms
  • Identify and evaluate new, emerging platforms and opportunities for audience growth and content consumption – be the proponent for new social/digital content trends
  • Leverage and collaborate with multi-departmental resources to guide and oversee execution of content marketing productions
  • Find opportunities to optimize parallel productions within team and drive incremental conversion
  • Analyze user and consumption data to maximize opportunities to convert
  • Partner with Data Analytics division to generate actionable reports to be presented to larger digital/social content staff
  • Act as key resource and internal expert for paid social mediacampaigns
  • Interface and liaise with key platform partners
  • Keep current with WWE programming, storylines, talent and products


  • 10 years of experience in content, creative or social media marketing
  • Influential thinker and impeccable communicator of ideas
  • Proven track record in delivering success via organic content on social and digital platforms
  • Passion for emerging media trends and technology, especially social platform products
  • Expert understanding of digital and social media metrics
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Extraordinary problem solving and project management capabilities
  • Start-up mentality with the poise of seasoned media executive
  • Must be able to work non-traditional schedule, including nights and weekends during WWE live TV programming
  • Expertise in paid social mediacampaigns and execution
  • Experience with social media content management systems
  • Familiarity with OTT media distribution, a plus
  • Working knowledge of topline video production tenets, a plus
  • Knowledge of WWE TV shows, talent and storylines, a plus
