Manage the day-to-day production support activities associated with production control and coordination for production Work Management applications supporting critical business processes for PSEG lines of business. This includes developing, administering and executing preventive maintenance programs, overseeing problem management, performing root cause analysis and corrective action plans, providing vendor management and oversight, administering and reporting on vendor and client SLAs. Acts as the interface between PSEG internal lines of business, internal IT staff and vendors in the day-to-day production support of critical applications and systems. Additionally serve as the Production Manager governing and controlling 810 compliance related to the regulation and control of access to systems that may contain 10 CFR Part 810 controlled restricted information at the nuclear facilities.

This position is a direct report to the Manager - Applications Support (Vendor Supported) of the Applications Support Office

Job Duties:

• Lead efforts to investigate and resolve various Applications and Systems day to day issues.

• Coordinate weekly meetings with the clients and support teams to discuss all open issues and tickets and to prioritize remediation efforts with planned maintenance and other activities.

• Manage activities to improve the overall operating environment with alerting, monitoring, and automation.

• Monitor production system performance, availability and report status to ensure client expectations are met.

• Identify opportunities for application tuning. Coordinate problem and incident management activities.

• Apply technical and functional skills to coordinate and resolve client issues with the help of support vendor.

• Work with various SMEs and suppliers to perform reviews and/or Root Cause Analysis on production systems failures, formulate corrective action plans, ensure corrective actions are patching, upgrades, tuning, performance management, etc.

• Lead technical staff and vendors and consultants to identify and resolve complex SAP, client application and hardware problems impacting availability and performance of the SAP systems.

• Work with project and development teams to ensure solutions are aligned with acceptable support requirements and that the transition and delivery of new or upgrades systems are seamlessly moved to production support teams and suppliers.

• Monitor production system performance, availability and report status to ensure client expectations are met.

• Ensure Quality Control and Assurance procedures are consistent with project specifications, client requirements and corporate policies.

• Manage the Disaster Recovery (DR) Process for the work management systems including updating of the DR plan, periodic testing and activation in the event of an emergency.

• Monitor and execute IT SOX controls and work closely with internal and external auditors.

• Coordinate and run planned outages for systems in area of accountability with the LOB and IT.

• Manage and communicate problem resolution and system restoration status during unplanned outage events to LOB and IT Senior Management.

• Develop and manage the preventive maintenance programs for systems including:

• Ensure the 3rd party support team has acquired the appropriate application knowledge.

• Follow the appropriate change management process for production releases and projects.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and also visit clients protectively (Customer Outreach) to improve efficiencies and also resolve chronic client issues.

• Develop and oversee controls to prevent or mitigate violations of 10 CFR Part 810 compliance requirements and internal policies.

• Evaluate the efficiency of 10 CFR Part 810 controls and improve them continuously.

• Revise procedures, reports etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues associated with 10 CFR Part 810 compliance.

• Draft, modify and implement Information Technology related policies related to 10 CFR Part 810 compliance.

• Collaborate with corporate counsels, Human Resources and the specific lines of business to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations related to 10 CFR Part 810.

• Assess PSEG’s future ventures to identify possible compliance risks associated with 10 CFR Part 810.

• Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training related to 10 CFR Part 810.

• Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the PSEG as well as evolving best practices in compliance control related to 10 CFR Part 810.

• Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate related to 10 CFR Part 810.

Required Skills, Competencies, Education and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and at least six, typically eight or more years' experience in Information Technology, with a minimum of two years in programming/analysis, or without a Bachelor's degree, at least ten years' experience in Information Technology, with a minimum of two years in programming/analysis.

· Three or more years' experience in an IT Operations role supporting SAP applications and/or infrastructure

· In-depth knowledge and experience in SAP production systems

· Extensive technical and functional experience in the development and support of IT systems

· Excellent communication and consultative skills, and the ability to work effectively with client and IT management and staff.

· Demonstrated experience in vendor management in the day-to-day activities related to supporting critical systems

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability

· Basic understanding of 10 CFR Part 810 and related nuclear processes.

· Knowledge of Nuclear Security Screening Information System (SSIS)

· Knowledge of Nuclear Learning Management applications and interfaces.

· Understanding of general IT standards, policies, best practices, guidelines, processes.
