Lead Cloud Systems Engineer at Opentext in Denver, CO

OpenText Cloud Operations is responsible for the global operations and delivery of our Open Text cloud services to clients in multiple industries. Our offerings range from shared, multitenant SaaS offerings to Managed Services supporting Enterprise Clients and are hosted on a variety of infrastructure platforms. The Cloud Operations team is responsible for defining the technical platform and partnering with our engineering and security teams to deliver solutions using a DevSecOps approach.

The OpenText Lead Systems Administrator will be part of a global team of engineers responsible for the deployment, management, performance tuning, configuration and troubleshooting of the of the computing infrastructure that powers the OpenText cloud.

You're great at:

• Participate in strategic projects
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot AWS Services (EC2, EBS, ECS, S3, etc.)
• Participate in troubleshooting, capacity planning, performance tuning
• Stay current with public cloud technology and product offerings
• Participate in the process automation initiative.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Ability to work non-standard shifts for short periods (3-6 months)
• All other duties as directed.

What it takes:

• Ability to scope and specify technical solutions based on requirements
• Strong understanding of industry best practices and standards.
• Experience working with highly complex enterprise systems
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex software platforms
• Familiarity with core networking concepts
• Excellent time management and prioritization skill
• B.S in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5-8 years of progressive responsibility on large software platforms
• Strong proficiency in automation and configuration tools such as Python, Ansible, Salt, including interacting with RESTful APIs
• Deep knowledge of mixed operating system environments
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects for high profile clients simultaneously
• Experience monitoring cloud services with Zabbix, Sentinel1, ELK
• Experience with MarkLogic
• Experience with container management and micro-services architectures
• Experience in the Legal Tech / e-discovery industry
