SHELADIA is in the process of developing a Domestic Department of Defense (DOD) program and seeking potential candidates to establish a DOD Program Team. This team will support design, design-bid-build, design-build and various infrastructure and concept planning supporting new construction, site adapt-construction, renovations and repairs, operations & maintenance (asset management), reconfiguration of existing facilities, general building renovations, facility renovation, facility repairs/alterations, command and control facilities, training facilities, medical facilities fuel distribution and storage systems, power plants, road construction, and airfields.
Serves as DOD Lead Civil Engineerfor a wide range of conventional and unconventional Military and civilian Construction projects. Responsible for developing architectural design and preparation of the contract documents (working drawings, specifications and design analysis). Managing, supervising, leading, and/or performing professional engineering and scientific work involving construction, renovation, inspection, decommissioning, and/or demolition of structures, infrastructures, and their environmental systems above or under the earth's surface.
•Coordinate and monitor planning and design activities related to assigned projects.•Direct the preparation of plans for maintenance, restoration and/or repairs to project features authorized by public laws using MicroStation, Inroads and Specs Intact software.•Maintain a liaison and confers with clients, officials of boards, municipalities, other private firms and government agencies to ascertain their desires with respect to characteristics of project design and construction features.•Serve as technical coordinator for designated construction projects.•Plan/Lead/Organize Topographical Surveys•Plan/Manage Facility Asset Management/Sustainment Renovation & Maintenance (SRM) projects•Transportation, utilities, building and construction industries.•Develop Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build Requests for Proposals
•Registered Professional Engineer (PE).•10 yrs. Experience/ 5 YRS supporting DOD projects.•Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field.•Familiarity/Ability to use SPECSINTACT, Unified Facilities Criteria, AutoCAD, GIS, MS Project, Primavera, MicroStation, Micro Computer Aided Cost Estimation System (MCACES).•Security Clearance or Ability to Obtain a Secret Clearance.
•Security Clearance Knowledge of civil engineering concepts, principles and practices a familiarity with other engineering disciplines and architecture.•Ability to analyze, interpret and apply general engineering rules and procedures in a variety of situations and recommend effective solutions to senior engineers.•Knowledge of engineering and construction standards, methods, practices and techniques materials and equipment to determine compliance with federal, state and local codes and regulations.•Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirementsas outlined in applicable standards, regulations, and/or technical orders.•Ability to provide policy guidance for, and advice on, the design, fabrication, materials used, and construction of structures worldwide.•Skill in providing engineering advice to solve critical problems in the remediation and cleanup of properties contaminated with hazardous materials.*DUE TO THE NATURE OF WORK CANDIDATES MUST BE US CITIZEN OR PERMENANT RESIDENT
