Job Responsibilities

Pennoni Associates is currently seeking a Lead Bridge Engineer - Inspection & Design with experience consistent, but not limited to:

  • All facets of bridge engineering - condition inspection, load ratings and design
  • Candidate will have the opportunity to lead bridge design/rehabilitation projects, load rating assignments and also serve as bridge inspection Team Leader for PennDOT and regional agencies
  • Candidate will lead the bridge inspection practice for the Philadelphia office
  • Project and/or task management of bridge/structural tasks
  • AUTOCAD and MicroStation drafting and design of transportation bridge projects

Job Requirements

Required Attributes

  • PE License Required
  • PennDOT NBIS Bridge Inspection Certification Required
  • Proficient CADD experience with MicroStation, Inroads, AutoCAD, and/or Civil 3D
  • Required education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum years of work experience: 8-12
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Looks for and seizes opportunities to improve work products

Preferred Attributes

  • Leadership qualities and experience leading teams
  • NHI FCM and Ancillary courses are preferred but not required
  • Experience with Marine/waterfront structures preferred but not required
  • Proposal and marketing experience desired
  • Staff and project management experience
  • Ability to learn and apply new skills
  • Efficient use of engineering software
