Job Summary
Travelers Enterprise Business Intelligence and Analytics group is looking for a lead architect who can partner withbusiness and technology leadership and teams to execute/deliver capabilities in alignment with the Travelers Intelligent Automation & Analytics Strategic imperatives. These imperatives are as follows: Enterprise Data Management, Advanced Analytics, Information Delivery, Artificial Intelligence & Robotic Process Automation.

This role is responsible for developing and leading the Advance Analytics and AI the strategy with the focus ondevelopment , implementation and monitoring of the advanced analytics solutions using machine learning, artificial intelligence and robotic process automation. The role will be responsible for closely working with thebusiness R&D-modeling community, IT , Innovation community and business teams in blending the thoughts and solutions in delivering business effective solutions.

The role will also support Creation/Development of approaches to support Continuous architecture with a nimble, MVP approach. Additionally, this role establishes strong partnerships with business, IT and functional leadership and provides direction and guidance to bridge strategy to execution.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Provide strategic thinking, solutions and roadmaps while driving architectural recommendations. Ensure architectural adherence through blueprint and design reviews. Assist in the remediation of application stability and performance. Adopt and communicate new concepts, ideas, techniques, best practices and technology assistance. Perform project level design, debug and performance analysis. Responsible for the development and production support of enterprise application utilities and models to include publishing, best practices and guidelines for supported technologies. Work with vendors and product management areas to establish required infrastructures and frameworks. Provide ‘Shrink Wrap’ solutions to solve business and technical needs. Perform product evaluations, and Proof of Concepts’. Provide architectural strategy and subject matter expertise in the following areas:

  • Influences organizational direction in strategically complex and/or sensitive environments
  • Partners with business to support strategy development
  • Oversees, designs, leads, and/or conducts capability assessments (all levels of complexity)
  • Work closely with the Business, R&D-modelling community, IT , Innovation community and business teams in blending the thoughts and solutions in delivering business effective solutions
  • Work closely with the architecture and design teams in establishing implementation patterns for thesolutions
  • Conduct PoV and related MVP for new ideas and solutions to evangelize the idea through practical usage
  • Work closely with project implementation teams in implementing the MVP to a real-world use case
  • Strong understanding and some experience of the Advanced Analytics capabilities including machine learning using supervised and unsupervised techniques
  • Exposure to AI capabilities in areas of Text/Image/Speech Analytics and NLP
  • Strong application architecture and design experience with technologies like Java/NodeJS/Python
  • Experience and exposure to cloud based technologies – Pivotal Cloud Foundry/AWS/Azure
  • Experience/ Exposure to Hadoop and NoSQL- MongoDB , Qlik
  • Experience/Exposure to Robotic Process Automation

Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required. 5 years of experience in enterprise, application, and/or information architecture required. 1 year of experience as a technical lead required.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. 7 years of experience in enterprise, application, and/or information architecture preferred. 3 years of experience as a technical lead preferred. Thorough knowledge ofbusiness intelligence and analytics, process improvement, organization transformation, and/or business strategy development within complex organizations and business environments. Thorough knowledge of analytics architecture tools and concepts. Experience managing others preferred.
