Job Purpose

To lead in meeting customer needs and expectations for energy efficiency, demand response, beneficial electrification and other clean energy solutions, achieving alignment of internal, regulatory, and stakeholder priorities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop an understanding of customer needs and priorities, including differences that may exist among segments of customers.
  • Lead in support of National Grid's achievement of energy efficiency targets, demand management and climate change objectives throughout the company in order to advance National Grid's position as a leader in these fields.
  • Partner with several internal teams and vendor partners on a day-to-day basis to design and evolve the portfolio of customer energy management solutions for customers.
  • Plan future programs by collaborating with relevant teams and external stakeholders; analyzing cost effectiveness; analyzing large data sets; researching new technologies; incorporating customer or study feedback.
  • Lead regulatory efforts including stakeholder meetings, technical sessions, hearings, preparing reports or information requests, preparing regulatory filings and plans.
  • Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required

  • Effective communicator who can explain the patterns you see in the data and call to action, must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership.

Qualifications

  • 7 years or more of professional experience in the related fields of energy efficiency, evaluation, sustainable energy or government is desired
  • A Bachelor's degree in a field that requires quantitative analysis and/or data-based problem solving: preferred fields are mechanical or electrical engineering, economics, energy or environmental studies or science, statistics, or social science
