Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to lead verification by analysis of the Flight Test, Telemetry, and Termination (FT3) program products at all levels.
  • Collaborates with other leads and customer technical representatives to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
  • Performs technical oversight of various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
  • Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
  • Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.
  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues in a timely manner and to the overall benefit of the program and customer.
  • Provide technical oversight of supplier data and products, with in-person coordination at supplier facilities on an as-needed basis.

This position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.


Typical Education and Experience:

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard) and 9 or more years' experience.
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of the Systems Engineering life cycle
  • Experience with requirement design, development, and verification by analysis
  • Experience writing analysis plans, procedures and reports for software, electrical or mechanical systems
  • Experience leading diverse, technical teams to achieve organizational objectives
  • Experience leading diverse, technical teams to achieve organizational objectives

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with ground systems and their integration with flight products.
  • Basic database skills (DOORS)
  • Skills with common Microsoft Office Products
  • Experience working on DOD products or highly complex systems
  • Experience leading multi-discipline Engineering team
  • Experience with verification by analysis for flight qualified HW (e.g. electrical systems, ordnance systems)
  • Experience with SmarTeam, Catia, DOORS, Thermal Desktop, NASTRAN, and FEM creation and analysis products
  • Experience with common analysis methods and techniques for verification of mechanical and electrical systems from piece part to system level.
  • Leadership, communication and team building experience and skills in a virtual environment
