WSP is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Geomatics department located in our Oakville, ON office. Reporting to the Regional Manager, the position will be a critical team member in the delivery of surveying work in the province across multiple industries. This is a long-term position with opportunities to leverage technical ability and innovation across our Geomatics business in Canada and our geospatial service offering. WSP is Canada’s premier Surveying, Engineering, and Professional Services firm.
- Supervision and deployment of resources to complete work in an organized and cost-effective manner;
- Assist with decision-making regarding the purchase and operation of field equipment which will better enable our work and continue to secure our market-leading offerings;
- Manage internal and external client expectations regarding safety, quality and performance, participate in and promote the WSP Zero Harm Safety Program;
- Plan and manage technical survey projects;
- Participate and lead the preparation of technical reports and proposals;
- Represent the organization at industry events;
- Other duties as required.
- Ontario Land Surveyor (OLS) license or ability to obtain Ontario Land Survey license in a reasonable time frame;
- A degree in Geomatics Engineering considered an asset;
- 5+ years of experience at the professional level;
- Experience with Condo & Land Development projects a big asset.
- Strong business development, survey, project management and financial management background;
- Exceptional people management skills and relationship building skills;
- Experience in the provision of geomatics services and the management of geomatics projects;
- Excellent communication, organizational and management skills;
- Demonstrated interpersonal and leaderships skills and the ability to work well in a team environment;
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities;
- Willingness and ability to travel to sites within the GTA.
