Position Title: Laboratory Manager
Shift: Full Time Day Shift

Position encompasses the technical and administrative direction and supervision of activities of the clinical laboratory, in accordance with accepted national standards, state regulations, and company policies.
Additional responsibilities of the Laboratory Manager include:
? Coordinates all performance improvement activities in the clinical and anatomical departments of the laboratory.
? Oversees all operations related to the laboratory information system (LIS), reference laboratory interfaces, as well as remote products to physician offices including daily maintenance functions, systems updates and troubleshooting
? Coordinates the laboratory in-services, safety, and continuing education programs
Laboratory Management Duties
? Trains and evaluates employees on their work performance.
? Schedules and organizes work assignments. Ensures work is performed accurately and efficiently.
? Leads staff meetings.
? Addresses work issues and make recommendations for personnel actions as needed.
? Develop a positive work environment by recognizing employee contributions and by sharing information in a timely and open manner.
Laboratory Manager-Medical Laboratory Technologist (Healthcare Sciences)
Successful candidates for the Laboratory Manager must be certified in the area of clinical laboratory science by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or the equivalent.
Additional requirements of the Laboratory Manager role include:
? Bachelor?s Degree and MT (ASCP or equivalent) required.
? Seven (7) years clinical laboratory experience and four (4) years supervisor/managerial experiencerequired.
? Solid managerial, technical, interpersonal, fiscal, problem-solving and organizational skills are essential.
? Must have excellent customer relation skills.
? Knowledge of federal, state, local and accreditation agency regulations.
? Hematology and oncology experiencepreferred
