CLS - Laboratory Manager has direct responsibility for the supervision of their work area and, in this capacity, is responsible for the organization of work, supervision of employees, staff development, expense control, quality assurance, process improvement, and problem solving in the delivery of services within assigned areas of responsibility in the Department. This may include specific administrative functions as well as operational or technical functions. The Manager guides staff in meeting customer needs consistent with Cottage Health Expectations.
BA/BS in Science or Biology
California license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. Licensure and experience has been validated and has been deemed qualified under the State of California and CLIA to perform clinical laboratory tests and examinations classified as waived, moderate or high complexity as described under CLIA.
Proficient in laboratory instruments and computer systems, including ability to troubleshoot.
Years of Related Work Experience
Four years of clinical laboratory experience or comparable training and experience which provides the skills to perform the job tasks competently
