As the lead of the Jupiter Program Lab/Environment Team (Lab/Env Team), you will provide System Engineering, System and Network Administration, and IT support to Production and Test computing environments; to include troubleshooting problems and preventative maintenance. As the team lead you will be responsible for team project management and for program communication with other teams, program leadership, as well as senior external personnel. You will require an understanding of the Jupiter architecture, to include custom configurations and software, that serve as an interface between virtual LINUX operating systems, custom hardware, and mission software.
Typical tasks will include investigating, documenting and resolving middleware and COTS problems; providing initial investigation into O/S, COTS, Configuration Management and networking issues; supporting software distribution activities; troubleshooting new baseline and distribution file structures; supporting workaround development and management efforts to minimize impacts on environments; supporting all production maintenance activities; document the system architecture; and serving as point of contact for ad-hoc tasks.
Additionally, you will act as an initial point of contact for those seeking assistance with the infrastructure.
Weekend/evening or call-in work required periodically in support of scheduled and unscheduled production and test activities.
• Experience with virtual computing environments using a combination of these technologies: LINUX (RHEL and CentOS), Ansible, Python (including Jinja module/library) and Bash shell Scripting, networking
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex problems
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Familiarity with Agile Methodology
• Jupiter experience
• LTE 4G / 5G Mobile communications experience
• Experience with Juniper (including Junos and Junos Space) and Cisco networks
• Experience managing COTS / FOSS
• Security+ Certified

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
