Job Description

Client is hiring a Kronos Developer. This position can be located at one of the following locations: Clayton, MO, East Alton, IL, Houston, TX or Freeport, TX. The position will be part of a team responsible for the application development, implementation and on-going support of the Kronos Time Management system. Responsibilities include system and security administration, application development and configuration, application and technical support, upgrades and change implementation.  The Kronos Developer will report to the Sr. Kronos Developer and will work closely with business process owners to ensure Kronos modules and features function to help the businesses meet their objectives.

Essential Functions:

  • Kronos application development and module configuration activities
  • Assist with report building and special data requests
  • Installation of Kronos hardware, software, and time clocks for all Olin locations warranted ? both domestic and international
  • Perform system security administration
  • Fulfill audit requests
  • Implement system changes as required by users and system updates
  • Interact with multiple departments, locations and business process owners to evaluate and determine most efficient use of Kronos system and modules to support business and division objectives
  • Conduct end-user training
  • Engage with business process owners to determine necessary Kronos module implementations
  • Coordinate tasks related to implementation of Kronos system and modules
  • Establish and communicate standards for Kronos projects to the user community within Olin
  • Perform and document project tasks and planning
  • Recognize system problems and repair hardware and software as appropriate. Engage with MIS Support staff as appropriate
  • Interface with Kronos Team members/Department Managers/Timekeepers and Corporate Payroll staff to determine workflow and identify requirements

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED; Bachelor?s Degreepreferred or willingness to pursue 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Kronos application/user 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • SQL knowledge and Windows Server experiencepreferred
  • Approximately 20% travel (including International) to support upgrades and implementations
  • Must be able to interact effectively and professionally with internal and external customers, including all levels of management
  • Able to quickly learn and apply new technologies
  • Must have solid understanding of business processes, especially those related to use of Kronos
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills to prepare various analyses and evaluation of Kronos modules and capabilities
  • Must be able to multi-task on a daily basis, manage priorities, be a self-starter, work well under pressure and maintain confidentiality of information
  • Must be team-oriented
