The Kana Developer will be responsible for development and maintenance of applications supporting Carenet initiatives. The Kana Developer will participate in the coding and development of new applications and enhancement to existing systems, along with develop, improve, and implement software systems designed to support new or existing business needs.

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Develop software applications using OO design principles
  • Code, test, and debug software
  • Perform Test Driven Development (TDD) to improve quality and testability of code
  • Adhere to standardized SDLC practices including source control, release planning, and implementation
  • Participate in requirement/implementation meetings with clients (internal and external) to understand the business requirements
  • Participate in design/planning sessions
  • Participate in story planning and task breakdown sessions
  • Participate in 24/7 on-callsupport
  • Provide end-user and application support and troubleshooting
  • Stay current with technology as it applies to Carenet
  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data
  • Design/Develop systems that adhere to enterprise security policy and industry standards
  • May provide guidance and direction to other staff and may train employees, assign, monitor and review progress and accuracy of work

 Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering or Computer Science from a four-year college or university
  • 5+ years in IT Industry
  • 2+years’experiencedeveloping with KANA Enterprise (13R2 or higher)
    • Working knowledge of EVA Framework
    • Working knowledge of Case and Knowledge Management
    • Working knowledge of Scripting
    • Working knowledge of Process development
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript
  • Working knowledge of HTML(5 is preferred) and CSS(3 is preferred)
  • Working knowledge of Web Services (SOAP, REST)
  • Working knowledge of Object Oriented development
  • Working knowledge of database development
  • Works well in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Familiar with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) principles
  • Experience with Agile is a plus
  • Experience with jQuery is a plus
  • Experience with J2EE is a plus
  • Experience with JBOSS is a plus
  • Experience with RHEL is a plus
  • Experience with Apache Tomcat is a plus
