Job Overview:

GES is looking for a software developer to join the Digital Experience team. As a member of the team you will contribute to all aspects of scaling our .NET ordering platform. With the help of a mentor you will design SQL Server database schema, develop server side code using ASP.NET, and deploy services code using Windows Communication Foundation.


As a junior developer the developer would initially be responsible for fixing small bugs within our front end of our ordering website and service layers. You will work within a team and be expected to estimate your level of effort, complete tasks, and review code with senior engineers. Over time you will contribute to database schema updates and larger new features to mature the platform along our product roadmap.


The candidate must have at least 2 years of working experience in IT and have developed at least one project in .NET.  The ideal candidate is also a good problem solverwith an enthusiasm to learn new skills. He or she will work in an Agile environment and be expected to interact with both engineering and business departments. Strong communication skills is a must. The developer will work with other engineers on  ASP.Net, JavaScript, WCF and relational database projects and must display a strong understanding of object oriented programming principles.


Work Environment

The developer will work under a senior software developer to improve the foundation of our online platform. We work in an Agile environment where planning, development, testing, deployment, and retrospective is done in an iterative fashion. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with making mistakes and learning from them.
