Job Summary:


The Associate Product Manager is responsible for supporting Product Managers in the efficient management and maintenance of the product portfolio. Additionally this role will assist the sales process effort by providing product and application support through cooperation with R&D, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Technical Support, and direct interaction with customers.



  • Developing technical requirements for new industrial communication and flow computing products that meet customer needs
  • Working with the Development Engineering team to properly prioritize development objectives and resolve details about product requirements
  • Providing analysis of competitive product strengths and weaknesses
  • Maintaining accurate product information and documentation for assigned products
  • Creating & maintaining sales support tools such as configurators and selection guides
  • Developing and delivering internal and external product training
  • Coordinating with Marketing and Sales teams to support product launches and product related marketing activity
  • Participating in customer interviewing, trade shows, and sales opportunity pursuit activities

Required Skills and Experience


  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial automation systems, flow computing and/or networking technologies
  • Ability to keep multi-disciplinary teams on-task, on schedule, and drive problem resolution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking
  • Ability to build relationships with customers, understand their needs and translate them into requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline
  • Three or more years of experience in a job in the network communication or industrial automation markets in either a product management, engineering, technical support, sales, or marketing role
  • Must be able to travel 10-25% of the time both domestically and internationally.
