SUMMARY

The Sales Applications Engineer (SAE) is dedicated to supporting Network User’s distribution strategy. They are required to visit Network User’s end customers, while supporting thedistributionchannel. The SAE is working under Network User, and must be able to support the entire network product portfolio in front of customers, manufacture representative’s and distribution partners. The SAE provides technical expertise to a variety of customers that integrate Pulse network products within their design and provides technical training to Pulse Representative and Distribution partners on Pulse networking products. Duties will include providing support for customer product development from initial customer contact through to production status for Pulse catalogue products, along with custom solutions when needed on new designs. The SAE must be very familiar with electronics theory and design considerations, while being able to interpret customer specifications and technical data to provide cross references of Pulse networking products. The SAE must be able to work with various Pulse support groups (Sales, Marketing, Inside Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, and Process) as well as Pulse’s mfg. sales reps and Distributors to support customer requirements.  The SAE will gather and disseminate information concerning the capabilities of a competitor’s products.  The SAE will be available for travel to customer locations in the Americas, and will be expected to be in the field up to 50% of the time. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:                  BSEE or BSME 

EXPERIENCE:                 0 - 5 years of electronics work experience. Either as an FAE or TSE. Magnetics (Ethernet/Power) experience a plus.

KNOWLEDGE:                 Strong knowledge of electronic circuit design and component level sales. 

SKILLS:                          Working knowledge of MS Office Products, Salesforce.com, PLM, SAP.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:        Spoken and written English.


INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS

INTERNAL:        Daily interaction with sales channel and product marketing to coordinate customer sales opportunities and product training.  Will have regular interaction with divisional Engineers to aid in specifying product requirements for new designs and provide technical support of current products.

EXTERNAL:        Daily interaction with Pulse sales representatives and distribution partners to provide prompt technical and specification guidance for field sales.
