Job Description

We are seeking a Junior HRBP located in Kent, WA; reporting directly to Director of Human Resources, Americas.  This position is a critical and highly-visible role, working with employees across the Americas teams.  This position will work both as a Junior business partner and a U.S. Benefits Administrator.  This position requires that you be a strong generalist in the following areas: employee relations, HR law, HRIS, Leave of Absence – U.S, Benefits – U.S., policy administration and general process improvement.

  • Work with line managers and employees to address all types of employee relations issues.
  • Meet with managers/supervisors to provide accurate and timely HR information and guidance of employees’ issues.  
  • Assist with and resolve employee issues that range from initial guidance to conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations. 
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to daily employment and employee relations.
  • Recommend and drive improvement to human resources policies and processes;
  • Continuously benchmark and leverage best practices.
  • Participate in all regularly scheduled functional manager and unplanned meetings (when appropriate).
  • Partner with the Recruiter and management teams to source and staff a diverse and highly-skilled workforce.  Create offer letters
  • Administer various employee benefit programs such as group insurance, life, medical, dental, vision, accident and disability, and wellness plans.
  • Aggressively manage leave of absence, disability and workers compensationclaims in accordance with federal and state laws.
  • Coordinates payment of all monthly benefit invoices.
  • Assists Sr. Global Compensation and Benefits manager with new benefit programs; arranges and conducts employee information presentations, annual enrollments, and new hire orientation.
  • Verifies the calculation of the monthly premiums statements for all group insurance policies and maintains statistical data relative to premiums, claims, and costs. Resolves administrative problems with carriers.
  • Liaison for employees and benefit vendors/benefits advocate.
  • Manages various benefit reports for organization, assists with 401k reporting, 5500 audits, and benefit carrier files..
  • Thorough understanding US benefit plan concepts with strong knowledge of FMLA, STD/LTD and Worker’s Compensation.
  • Strong business literacy skill along with a high level of analytical ability where problems are complex.
  • Change Agile and ability to move quickly in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Ability to work independently on projects and function effectively in a team environment.
  • Apply seasoned employee relations skills and sound judgment to respond appropriately in sensitive situations.
  • Demonstrated initiative to identify and anticipate customer needs and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Excellent ability to develop strong trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results.
  • Demonstrated strategies for multi-tasking and managing conflicting priorities under stressful time sensitive situations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or business field or equivalent of experience and training that provides required knowledge, skills and abilities. 
  • Minimum (7) seven years of experience in Human Resources with (4) four year’s direct benefits administration.
  • Required working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including benefits, HRIS, recruiting, employee relations, diversity, change management, federal and state respective employment laws etc.
  • Relevant industry experiences a plus.
