McKinsey & Company’s Boston office is seeking exceptional professionals with experience in and passion for property and casualty insurance to join the office. 


Detailed Description:

McKinsey’s Boston office is looking for an Associate candidate from the Property and Casualty Insurance sector with a background in actuarial, product management or underwriting.  The desired candidate will serve general consulting engagements with a focus and preference for insurance.


As an Associate, your primary role will be to lead problem solving efforts on a portion of a client engagement. Specifically, you will be responsible for identifying issues, forming hypotheses, designing and conducting analysis, synthesizing conclusions into recommendations and helping to implement change with our clients.  Throughout an engagement, you will be involved in discussions and presentations with senior client leadership.  You will work on engagement teams typically consisting of 3 to 6 consultants.

The ideal candidate has a combination of the following:

  Minimum of 5-10 years of work experience within property and casualty insurance in one or more of the following areas: actuarial, product management, or underwriting.

  Thorough understanding of  issues and industry trends; familiarity with quantitative methodologies and techniques

  A progressive career trajectory as well as outstanding professional achievements and impact

  An advanced degree including strong graduate and undergraduate academic accomplishment

  Strong credentials and professional designations (e.g. AIAF, CIC, CPCU)
