Position Description:

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Establish, implement, and maintain the global quality Management system process and policies.

  • Maintain position on global leadership team as ISO management representative, or as defined in Corporate Quality Standard.

  • Define quality systems, continuously refine and improve systems to achieve desired results.

  • Monitor auditing function to assure compliance to systems and procedures.

  • Monitor and assist report quality performance (internal, external, supplier) and help identify areas of needed improvement.

  • Provide development opportunities, guidance, training and assistance to quality assurance and quality control personnel.

  • Monitor corrective actions and provide coaching/training.

  • Oversee Global QMS activities at platform, site and organizational levels to insure company quality goals are achieved.

  • Assure the quality assurance team operates in full compliance with all federal, state and country regulations, equal employment and OSHA laws (or specific country laws) and other safety and operational guidelines.

  • Manage evaluate the risks associated with changes deployed.

Position Requirements:

REQUIRES THE ABILITY TO:

  • Create policies and procedures in support of a global quality system approach in accordance with ISO 9000 and other regulatory requirements.

  • Interact/collaborate with sites, and the functional areas within each site including manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, production and field service/repair to evaluate failure trends, product quality problems, and quality issues.

  • Provide input, guidance and coaching to site leadership team to ensure continuous improvement of Global Quality Management System.

  • Provide quality support to establish quality standards and customers’ requirements.

  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of customers from internal and quality team members to outside final customers.

  • Be able to perform and coach others in data analysis and perform root cause analysis

  • Develop and/or support root cause analysis and corrective actions based on quality data.

TRAINING/EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

  • Five (5) years’ experience in Quality and manufacturing

  • Organizational and planning skills

  • Lead Auditor in Quality Systems Course or equivalent

  • Quality Management Systems and/or ISO 9000 Training or equivalent

  • Six Sigma Black Belt Preferred/Green Belt minimum

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Experienced with examples in management of change

  • SharePoint organization and management experience

  • Training on web software experience

  • PPAP experience

  • FMEA experience

  • Experience with strategic deployment and tracking of Quality Management Systems
