Job Description:

Technical skills:

  • Strong Functional, Technical and Development knowledge in JDA Warehouse Management (RP Discrete DLx)
  • Providing Solution Design for JDA WMS implementations
  • RP 2011 onwards extensive experience in configuring & deploying WMS application
  • Requirement gathering, system analysis as well as finalization of technical / functional specifications.
  • Leveraged as the JDA/RedPrairie WMS solution expert for transformational projects/programs
  • Strong domain knowledge in JDA/RedPrairie WMS solution to understand how the JDA solutions can be configured and delivered to better facilitate customer business processes
  • Strong domain knowledge in JDA/RedPrairie Discrete WMS solution to construct an overall architecture for current and future customer business needs
  • Key contributor to the Change Management efforts for global or regional program implementations
  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations for user, management, and executive level audiences
  • Provides advice to customers regarding industry best practices and process methodology
  • Ability to estimate effort of task level implementation activities that are within the scope of the project and recommend appropriate role to execute those tasks
  • Able to ask appropriate questions to assess business needs that fall outside the standard solution, assess integration complexity, architecture constraints
  • Can demonstrate and facilitate integration discussions of product functionality and product architecture (i.e. Show data and process flow from one JDA solution to another)
  • Conducts/leads business process analysis or design, construction, validation, and deployment phases of the project
  • Lead the project team to design and develop functional specifications for modifications, interfaces, reports and screens to ensure smooth integration between technical and
  • functional business requirements
  • Lead the project team in preparing Product Requirement Specifications, test plan for modifications.
  • Interact closely with Development services in modification development, quality delivery and organizing demonstrations with customers on modifications.
  • Creates and modifies procedural and system documentation throughout the project
  • Supports the development and execution of test scripts to ensure JDA software consistently meets the customer's business objectives
  • Provides level 3 non-technical support during the "go-live" period
  • Provides level 3 user support and verifies that the system provides the required business functions and maintains data integrity
  • Recognizes and highlights incremental revenue opportunities with existing customers / projects.
  • Serves as a functional liaison and attends and contributes to key meetings between Project
  • Manager, Solution Architects, key customer contacts, and customer users, up to and including key executive project sponsors
  • Ensures knowledge transfer is conducted with key customer project team
  • Communicates business cases to PMG and PD regarding customer specific needs related to product functionality and enhancements
  • Interacts with PMG & PD regarding new releases and new functionality and act as the liaison to communicate to the rest of the team
  • Experience using Integrator DDA development

Role and Responsibilities:

  • To interact with the customer and internal teams for RP Solution design and bid defence
  • To provide Solution design and development of enhancement (major and minor) or new developments based on business requirements as provided by the client as well as from the functional and technical team of HCL on the project.
  • To provide technical guidance to Practice resource in various accounts
  • Document all designs and functionality to enable the production support organization to support the application post implementation and stabilization
  • Develop use cases, customer scenarios, and/or demos, and plan and coordinate testing of the newly developed or enhanced applications between the business and the development teams
  • Convert business requirements into technical terms for the development team, perform detailed design, obtain design acceptance from business stakeholders and reviewers, develop detailed designs including functional specifications.
  • To handle RFP and Presales activity
  • Must be motivated and be able to work independently with minimal direction
  • Must possess Excellent communication (oral & written) skills
  • Good problem-solving and systems trouble shooting skills
  • Able to work on several projects simultaneously with other project team members
  • Experience working in Agile projects will be an added advantage
