Opportunity Overview :The Technology Mutual Fund Trading Product Team supports the systems and processes related to mutual fund trading activity at Edward Jones from fund searching to order entry and processing to ongoing activity and maintenance. There is huge opportunity to not only support existing branch facing front end applications but also to help in the creation and transformation of legacy systems to the latest architecture platform. We are looking for a highly motivated, analytical, knowledgeable, and personable addition to the team as a technical consultant. What you’ll do

• drive the modernization of technology behind our key business processes
• collaborate with business counterparts to develop requirements
• translate business requirements into system design
• code, test and implement new applications, enhancements & bug fixes across platforms within the agile framework
• troubleshoot and resolve the most complex system issues
• coach and mentor more junior associates
• act as a technical lead, guiding and reviewing the work of other associates and contractors
• participate in the team’s on-call support rotation

Position Requirements :What you’ll needCore technical skills

• Java, JavaScript, React, Spring Boot, REST, Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, GIT, scripting
• proven technical leadership (5+ years of experience)
• experience designing modern system architecture
• ability to communicate clearly and concisely (esp. with non-technical users)
• ability to jump in and make sense of ambiguous situations
