You'll support the delivery of award winning tools and services that cover everything from personal and small business banking as well as lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. This group is also focused on developing and delivering cutting edged mobile applications, digital experiences and next generation banking technology solutions to better serve our clients and customers.

As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will you will participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution. You will participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow, and understand and comply with Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps. You will also adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications. Additionally, you will document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/Enhance software application modules. You will participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues; and review and provide feedback to the final user documentation.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
  • Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
  • Proficiency in Core Java, Spring Framework, Unix, IntelliJ, Bitbucket, HTML, Angular JS, Web Services and Oracle.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Experience writing SQL scripts or PL/SQL, including stored procedures, triggers, functions, and tables
  • Cultivate and introduce (where appropriate) Agile engineering practices including: Pair Programming, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and Test Driven Development
  • Ability for the full delivery (designing, developing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting) of applications to satisfy business requirements
  • Nice to have experience with cloud, big data
  • Strong data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques
  • Proficient interpersonal skills to be able to interface effectively with a broad range of contacts; from technical staff to management


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of professional information technology experience in large enterprise environment
  • 7 years of Full Stack Development across all three tiers front end, Java and database
  • Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Strong understanding of OOP & SOA principles, service-oriented architecture, web services enterprise design patterns, industry best practices
  • Development experience: Core Java 8, Spring Framework/MVC, Unix.
  • Experience with ItelliJ, Eclipse, Maven, Git, Bitbucket, etc.
  • Experience with multiple database platforms (RDBMS, NoSQL)
  • Experience writing PL/SQL or SQL scripts, including stored procedures, triggers, functions, and tables
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Experience using CI tools like Jenkins or similar
  • Cloud computing and micro services experience
  • Knowledge of Web Security required
  • Domain Knowledge of the Finance industry in general
  • Experience with on Unix shell scripting
  • Experience using any of the scheduling tools like Control-M, Autosys, etc.
