TechFlow, Inc. is hiring a Java Developer with experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications. You will be part of a talented software team that works on mission-critical applications. The Java Developer will manage Java/Java EE application development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing. The Java Developer will assist in designing, developing, and delivering high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.
Evaluating and documenting software changes and deficiencies, analysis, design, development, testing, coordination with government functional SMEs and other stakeholders
Addressing and debugging issues that arise within software
Managing configuration across platforms
Maintaining and updating software architecture
Perform risk management tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity
Familiar with military aviation supply and maintenance functions and terminology
General understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) Business Systems functions; including DoD financial systems
Knowledgeable in both older interface protocols (such as FTP and ICI) and newer interface protocols (such as SFTP, MQ equivalent, HTTP, HTTPS, and Web Services)
Familiar with Oracle DB interfaces and functionality
3+ years of experience in Java application development
Able to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical area. Four additional years of experience may substitute for the degree.
Experience supporting specific DoD Defense Business Systems
Experience with development, test, and production environments in AWS, especially GovCloud/CloudOne (C1), as well as DISA data centers.
Experience in use of Agile toolsets (like Jira and Confluence) to track requirements and provide architecture and design documents and development information
Experience in various toolsets (like SonarQube, Checkmarx, and Silverthread) for static code analysis in the areas of performance, security, and modularity
Experience in use of CI/CD toolsets to automate software delivery across development, test, and production environments
