The ITS Release Coordinator at COUNTRY Financial is responsible for identifying, planning, and managing day-to-day activities of an IT Service Management process. Within Service Management one primary focus of the person in this role will be the Release Management process. The person will participate in the rotation of Release Coordinators for pre-planned Enterprise Releases. This will include scheduling, scoping, coordinating, and controlling Releases across the Enterprise and recognizing, assessing, and adjusting to changes to key items throughout the lifecycle. Releases can include new functionality being introduced by projects or programs along with application updates, infrastructure upgrades, security improvements, and operating system patches.


The person in this role plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma). Diagrams and evaluates existing processes. Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams. Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities. Collects data to identify root cause of problems. Measures performance against process requirements. Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls. Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality. May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control. Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes. Communicates team progress. Performs cost and benefit analyses.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates processes and conducts analyses to determine opportunities for improvement; prepares findings and presents results.
  • Leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams to address process improvement initiatives.
  • Prepares analytics to measure and analyze the effectiveness of improvements and controls implemented.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Creates, manages and executes project/program deployment plans.
  • Builds strong working relationships with team members, vendors/contractors, business and ITS partners to aide in effective execution.
  • Ensures the establishment of scope and priorities, management of risks/issues/dependencies, implementation of solutions, and change management activities.
  • Execute IT Service Management processes and procedures, report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics, and identify opportunities for improvement; and Release Management through scoping, testing, and production implementations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Typically requires:
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in process improvement OR,
  • Master's degree and at least 3 years of experience in process improvement OR,
  • At least 7 years of experience in process improvement

Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office environment.
  • Work may extend beyond normal business hours as business needs dictate.
  • Occasional after business and weekend hours to coordinate release deployments.
