Position Summary: 

• As a Telephony Engineer III (Senior Telephony Engineer) you will manage and monitor telecommunications systems and networks. Will help resolve  complex telecommunications issues. Responsible for the planning, design and implementation of telecommunication systems and providing solutions for  the telecommunications environment. Lead formal review, analysis and recommendation process. Conduct feasibility studies and assist in the evaluation  and selection of telecommunications equipment.

Essential Functions/Specific Duties: 

• Transforms business designs/requirements into technical designs/solutions
• Manages the impact of change to applications/systems
• Develops, implements, and maintains monitoring and reporting solutions
• Identifies KPIs and develops related metrics to identify trends, thresholds, and predictors to improve performance, stability and/or prevent changes
• Ensures appropriate capacity based on exiting usage and consumption as well as future growth and shrinkage projections
• Will analyze the organization’s needs for voice systems; coordinates the integration of those systems within the overall technical infrastructure. 
• Supports telephony production systems by analyzing and isolating the cause of problems, creating appropriate fixes and documenting changes.
• Performs upgrades and enhancements to the telephone switch (PBX), gateways, media modules, System and Session Manager, SBC’s, eCas and/or WFM, call  recording, wallboards, CMS, Trading Turrets and associated systems
• Create, Implement, document and maintain regular system backups, reboots and recovery strategy based on best practices
• Complete voice system programming for adds, moves, changes, upgrades, enhancements, capacity planning and/or call center systems programming
• Identifies opportunities and fully fleshes out proposals that address key business concerns
• Ensure only authorized users have access to all production Telephony systems
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Job Requirements:

Education:  Bachelor degree in Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience
Experience:  10+ years of IT experience

o Ability to analyze and plan for future growth to support more stations, trunks, talk paths, ACD groups, agents, reporting and recording storage
o Ability to complete proactive monitoring of all telephony production systems
