Technical IT Lead ? New York ? To $105k + Bonus!
As the IT Lead you?ll be responsible for developing an understanding of the operational needs of underwriting, accounting, actuarial and claims teams for the direct insurance business, facilitating the relationship between IT and the business units.
? Determine the needs and goals of the business that will lead towards improvement
? Communicate new strategies with direct insurance business teams, develop plans to deliver the strategies
? Interact with vendors and business units to make changes to the policy and claims systems
? Research inquiries, issues, regulations, practices and new application technologies
? Work closelywith business units, Project Manager, and IT to bridge gaps and promote project methodologies.
? 5+ years?experience as a Technical Lead
? 3+ years?experience working in direct insurance underwriting commercial lines or specialty lines preferred.
? Experience implementing systems, particularly in the insurance industry
? Cognos and SIMSexperience
? Must have experience in the direct insurance industry
? Knowledge of direct insurance systems (policy, billing, and claims) a must.
? Familiarity with Insurity policy system, SIMS claim systems, and Cognos desirable.
? Knowledge of: MS Project, Excel, Word, Windows, Adobe, PowerPoint and MS SQL required.
? Ability to develop a work plan down to the detail level.
? ? Knowledge of relational databases.
? Great communication and leadership skills.
? Ability to analyze problems and formulate systems solutions to solve problems.
