THE POSITION

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will provide enterprise level software support managing customer queries, gathering information and sharing findings. You will be analytical and have an interest in troubleshooting and problem research; collaborating with other engineers as necessary. You will need strong knowledge in Single-Sign on solutions as well as knowledge of cutting edge technologies such as Meteor and Mongo. The successful candidate possesses a strong technical background and significant experience analyzing software applications in enterprise customer environments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond to incoming calls incoming emails and support portal requests.
  • Work with a significant amount of autonomy to ensure day to day support issues are completed with the quality associated with the values of the company.
  • Provide updates to Customers pertaining to the status of reported issues.
  • Demonstrate expertise in conveying technical and functional concepts to Customers.
  • Participate in any special projects, as assigned by Management.
  • Occasional business travel (10-20% of time)

THE PERSON

The successful candidate should possess either a technically oriented Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in a commercial software company. Candidate must be capable of leading small teams of 1-2 analysts and work with minimal supervision to complete all tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidate must have the following qualifications:

  • Understand and communicate product database table structures/ERDs/Data Dictionaries
  • Extensive administration experience with one of the following: MySQL, SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Knowledgable on different flavors of Single-Sign-on(SSO)
  • Experience with Apache Tomcat application server administration
  • Working knowledge of AWS and Cloud structures.
  • Knowledge of MongoDB
  • Ability to perform basic relational database user tasks; e.g., run queries
  • Ability to clearly and concisely convey complex concepts and ideas both internally and externally
  • Professional customer relationship experience
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
