The IT Service Sales Representative is primarily responsible for adding new clients and contract revenue to help grow the IT Services Business Unit. Our core services include managed IT service (help) desk, managed services, on-site and remote Desktop (Level Two) support, network consulting, and desktop/server management. This person will report directly to the Business Unit General Manager and is accountable for lead generation as well as for cultivating productive relationships with prospects and clients. A main focus for this position is developing a working knowledge of the prospect's business issues and working closely with the Service Delivery Team to propose and deliver the best IT service solution for clients.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage strong client relationships and establish understanding of the client's business goals, issues and needs
  • Proactively perform lead generation, including cold calls and follow-ups
  • Collaborate with the broader Mechdyne team to develop practical and cost-effective solutions that meet the client's objectives
  • Prospect for new business opportunities
  • Display commitment to achieving sales targets
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings and summarize lead generation/business development activities and status
  • Review contracts, service legal agreements, and scope of services while determining the best strategy to meet mutual objectives
  • Provide excellent customer service to our clients and ensure a strong customer satisfaction with our solutions


Qualification:

  • A Bachelor's Degree is required; a technical/engineering degree is highly desirable; an MBA or advanced graduate degree is also desirable
  • Previous account development experience and successful track record, preferably 5+ years, preferably in IT Managed Services
  • Excellent business sense, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Proactive, driven, independent but a strong team player
  • Strategic, thoughtful, inquisitive
  • Strong people skills - intuitive, empathetic, influential, persuasive
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to craft & deliver a compelling, succinct, and insightful presentation
  • Strong work ethic & high energy
  • Above average abilities with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Salesforce
  • Must be willing to travel 25% of the time
