Job Description:

Provides support to Web Development staff in the development and maintenance of database-driven web applications, including coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of applications. Provides secondary support to Network Engineer staff as needed, assisting with help desk, trouble ticket system, software, hardware, or network problem resolution, or PC, PBX, or network configuration and programming. Position may also be asked to conduct technical research for source of information in support of client requests.

Duties include:

  • Create and maintain database driven web applications. The position includes some role in each stage of the software development lifecycle.
  • Code, test, implement and document computer programs in accordance with organizational guidelines and standards. (PHP, JavaScript, SQL and PL/SQL are the languages currently used but are subject to change.)
  • Provide IT help desk support to clients.
  • Ensure proper recording, documentation and closure of trouble tickets.
  • Track, route and redirect problems to correct resources.
  • Install, modify and repair computer hardware and software.
  • Provide basic maintenance of network equipment and servers.
  • Maintain printer network.

Required Skills:

  • BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Experience in PHP web application development
  • Experience with an enterprise class RDBMS
  • Knowledge of ADA Section 508 regulations
  • Experience in User Interface design
  • Experience with/exposure to network and system administration
  • Proven working experience in providing help desk support
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills
  • Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • CompTia A+ Certification
