Description

The IT Security Architect will be responsible for global IT Security portfolio management within the Novelis IT environment.  This position will be a key contributor in setting the IT Security roadmap and future direction within the company. Responsibilities will include:

  • Establish, implement, communicate, and maintain an IT security portfolio management process
  • Develop and maintain IT Security roadmap plans that supports the needs across the company (as-is, transitional, to-be)
  • Establish Architecture standards for IT Security documentation (conceptual, functional, etc)
  • Establish System Architecture Information
  • Mapping of IT Security with applications and systems to functions within the environment
  • Define the interactions among systems with IT Security
  • Establish Technical Architecture Information for security functions
  • Define the technical standards to be used in the construction of the security environment
  • Work with other enterprise architects to illustrate the specific systems, HW platforms, and application packages in the future state
  • Define integration and interaction standards among security systems
  • Create the performance criteria that must be met by the environment
  • Design, develop, and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated systems
  • Develop, document, recommend, and communicate suggestions for investing in IT including analysis of cost reduction opportunities
  • Collaborate with end users and senior management to define business requirements for complex systems development and work to gain buy-in moving forward
  • Work with 3rd party vendors to identify solution options
  • Participate in external forums, trainings, meetings with key vendors
  • Coordinate with corporate and regional Novelis IT and Business teams
  • Support application project roll-outs
  • Identify areas for simplification and consolidation
  • Work with IT and Business to evaluate new solutions
  • Define and perform technology blueprinting process
  • Perform Architecture reviews for security components as part of project management process
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, threats, risks associated with security

 

Qualifications

:Education Required:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology required
  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology preferred

 Minimum Experience Required:

  • 5-10+ years of hands on experience within Information Security
  • Familiarity with broad range of technologies
  • Familiarity with new IT trends and technologies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Organizational skills (able to prioritize)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to work with IT technical resources across all Novelis
  • Ability to work closely with 3rd party vendors
  • Keen attention to details
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task
  • Ability to communicate and interact in a global organization
