About the team

The FIS Risk, Information Security, and Compliance (RISC) team is responsible for ensuring that our products, our technology, our processes, vendors, and clients meet industry standards for security, compliance, and the protection of sensitive data. Our team works domestically and globally to assess and mitigate the risks that can exist across our organization. What you will be doing

Take advantage of this unique opportunity to grow your experience in the Risk, Information Security, and Compliance sector of the financial services industry. You and a team of RISC professionals will perform various on-site and remote assessments of our products and processes. Mostly domestically-based assessment locations but with opportunities for global assignments, the position requires the ability to travel approximately 50%.Additional benefits include building your professional credentials with internally-funded industry certification opportunities.

  • Executes security controls to prevent hackers from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing programs
  • Researches attempted efforts to compromise security protocol and recommends solutions
  • Maintains security systems and administers security policies to control access to systems
  • Maintains company firewall and utilizes applicable encryption methods

What you bring:

  • A professional demeanor, the ability to interact directly with organizational management, and a high degree of attention to detail
  • Flexibility to accommodate up to 50% travel on assessments that average 3-5 days per engagement
  • Previous experience in the banking, banking software, and/or information technology sectors
  • Strong ability to work within a team to meet project deadlines and department goals
  • Knowledge of networks technologies (protocols, design concepts, access control)
  • Knowledge of security technologies (encryption, data protection, design, privilege access, etc.)
  • Knowledge of network design and engineering

Other Beneficial Experience:

  • Current industry certifications (CEH, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, ECSA, GPEN, GSEC, SSCP)
  • Software development and programming experience
  • Prior on-site assessment and audit experience

Consults with senior peers on non-complex projects to learn through experience. Typically requires up to three years of experience. Typically reports to an IT Security Manager.
