We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Information Technology team in one of our Eastern U.S. facilities (Elkton, MD; Newark, DE or Avondale, PA.) If you are looking for a company where you can make a difference, we’re looking for you. In this role, you will work within Gore’s IT Project Management Organization (PMO) and will be responsible for creating and utilizing best practice PM methodologies to ensure IT projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations. You will be responsible for driving global IT projects such as software implementations or redesigns.

  • Facilitating the creation of project scope, goals, and deliverables that support project goals
  • Defining and creating project plans for project/program prioritization and implementation
  • Participating in the creation and communication of PM best practices and standards
  • Utilizing Gore’s PPM process for portfolio management and resource commitment
  • Building, leading, and coaching multiple project teams throughout project lifecycles
  • Assessing and facilitating resolution of project risks and issues as they are encountered
  • Managing program changes to achieve program goals
  • Monitor financial delivery and issue management processes, being sure to escalate issues and variances to cost and schedule variances where necessary
  • Evaluating trade-offs between project size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value
  • Monitoring progress and continually updating relevant business stakeholder of program status
  • Manage day-to-day work activities proactively identifying and resolving issues that would represent a risk to on-time completion of the project
  • Tracking milestones and deliverables using MS Project and other appropriate tools
  • Facilitating all operational checkpoint activities throughout the project lifecycle such as requirement analysis, vendor selection, design, development, testing, implementation and hand-over to post-go live support



Required Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing IT projects and/or programs in complex environments
  • Demonstrated experience:
    • Leading global and cross-functional project teams
    • Successfully delivering projects utilizing various Agile project delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP, ect.)
    • Writing/creating scope documents and decision memos
    • Communicating project status, daily task management and proactive issue tracking and resolution
    • Managing multiple and competing priorities and projects
  • Knowledge of Project Management methods and techniques
  • Ability to work across diverse groups and teams with a common goal
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Proficient with MS Project and MS Office
  • Able to travel up to 10%, including international

Desired Job Qualifications:

  • PMP, PMI, or Scrum Master certification
  • Track record working in an Enterprise / IT PMO environment
