The IT Project Manager for Rakuten Americas balances multiple projects related to infrastructure, technology deployment, and integrations. The role is responsible for supporting and leading projects from kick-off to closure while liaising stakeholders around the region and globe as needed.
Translate requests from Americas regional businesses, technical teams, IT departments into actionable project plans by gathering requirements, planning resources and establishing budgets. Collaborate with Americas regional project management team and including technical staff to plan project timelines, resource availability, project requirements, technology standards, and roadmaps under tight timelines and changing requirements. Create and maintain project documentation with a systematic approach. Ensure projects progress and scope is captured. Develop and manage work breakdown structure (WBS) of information technology projects Perform risk assessments to develop response strategies Develop and maintain information technology plans which outline project status individual tasks, milestones, completion estimates, and resource allocation Work with the technical team to brainstorm new test ideas for technical projects Support regional IT team with taking lead on BU integrations, Office buildouts & refreshes
