IT Project Manager Marketing needs five years of Project Management experience with at least two years managing increasingly-complex projects in a technical environment

IT Project Manager Marketing requires:

  • one year of Project Management experience in an Agile environment
  • A history of successfully executing projects from conception to completion;
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently toward detailed goals in a complex, matrixed environment with ever-changing demands and conflicting priorities;
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Educated in at least one or more sequential PM methodologies (eg waterfall or CPM) as well as at least one Agile methodology;
  • Must have a deep understanding of project management phases, techniques, and tools;
  • Record of managing successful projects by mitigating risk, applying industry best practices, and understanding the mission of both the business and IT;
  • Critical thinking/problem solving – ability to identify, develop, and initiate innovative solutions when needed or where procedures do not exist
  • Ability to recognize problems, risks, or challenges that may arise and work with senior management team to evaluate and provide alternate solutions;
  • Experience or education in process-based methodology (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) a bonus but not required;
  • PMI Project Management Professional Certification (PMP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner Certification (ACP), Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Lean Green or Yellow Belt, and/or Gaming experience all a plus
  • Ability to build strong relationships throughout the company.

IT Project Manager Marketing duties:

  • Create and articulate clear and attainable project objectives;
  • Build out and gain agreement on project requirements among all project stakeholders;
  • Manage project constraints of scope, schedule, budget, and quality;
  • Perform project scoping, assessments, chartering, and project plan development;
  • Take ownership of a project and drive it to success.
  • Communicate goals and objectives clearly, on time, and to the appropriate party/stakeholder;
