PSI is seeking an IT Project Manager-Infrastructure. This opportunity would suit an experienced Project Manager who is ready and willing to take a leading role in leading IT project initiatives. An IT Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects within the Global Infrastructure and Operations Group. They oversee all aspects of a project for scope, budget and schedule and monitors and summarizes progress of a project on weekly basis. They build and maintain working relationships with team members and other departments involved in the projects and are familiar with Waterfall and Agile concepts, practices, and procedures.
Plan and oversee IT infrastructure projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives
Develop a detailed project plan using MS Project to monitor and track progress
Prepare budgets and track costs
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Monitor progress and keep stakeholders informed on a weekly basis
Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies that could threaten a project's delivery
Identify countermeasures and recommend and/or taking appropriate action to overcome delays, issues, and challenges or cost over-runs
Manage changes to project scope, schedule and costs using appropriate techniques
Assist in Requirement management and solicitation
Work independently with IS Management teams to work on TM allocation and scheduling issues
Lead team and stakeholder meetings and be able to keep and document detailed minutes.
Provide project status reporting to IS Management and Business Skills/Requirements
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a Computer Science, Computer Programming or MIS related field OR Equivalent work experience
Minimum 5 year of experience in IT Project Management
Minimum 2 years of experience working with IT Infrastructure (data center, networking, cloud, end user technologies)
Project Management training and/or PMP certification
Outgoing, confident and comfortable speaking with all levels of management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
Strong working knowledge of MS Office and Project Professional 2007 or above
Experience with MS Project / SmartSheet, SharePoint, Atlassian Jira and Confluence are preferred
Ability to work independently, as well as cooperate with others in team efforts
Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
Must be US Citizen and able to pass a U.S. Government Public Trust Security Clearance background investigation
