This position manages moderate to complex projects from inception to conclusion and may be responsible for interacting and communicating directly with Senior Leadership in all functions and regions of the Club and with clients outside the Club. This position is not responsible for direct supervision of employees but may occasionally oversee contractors, other employees on the project team or mentor junior members of the IT team. This position may be responsible for coordinating vendor work efforts related to a project and efforts with cross function/cross region teams. This position creates and manages to a project plan and timeline that covers estimates, requirements, design, configuration/development, testing, delivery and benefit tracking. This position will own problem analysis, solution validation, risk management, root cause analysis and recovery, issue resolution/escalation, financial and change control management, organization change management and stakeholder engagement processes. This position is also responsible for assisting with the development of specifications that consider business rules/processes and how software may need to be modified to support any changes.
Collaborate with appropriate IT team members and project team members to provide technical direction on systems analysis, design, development, testing and deployment, ensuring timely and effective delivery of the solution into production.
Document technical requirements, develop and oversee project plans and implement change control procedures.
Ensure effective handoff to operations for ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting. Document project process/results for future reference.
Ensures effective team identification of and acts as escalation point for project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies within the project scope, working with the team to devise and implement effective mitigation strategies taking corrective action to achieve resolution to the satisfaction of the business line manager.
Determine internal / external resources required to deliver the project, interacting with internal/external partners at the technical level, as required.
Participate in technical advisory roles, as required; ensuring the project deliverables are capable of achieving the benefits defined in the business case.
Provide leadership and strategic direction to the project team (including matrixed project resources), providing coaching, training, development and feedback to business line managers as needed.
Establish and build relationships across AAA Northeast to facilitate achievement of strategic goals maintaining momentum throughout the project lifecycle.
Create, foster and instill a climate of resources adding value in delivering projects by striving for excellence and contributing to the overall development of Change Management.
Bachelordegree in Business or a related field; or related experiencerequired. At least 3-5 years’ experience in a project management role, with at least 2 of those years managing technical projects. Scrum Master Certification or equivalent Agile experiencepreferred. In-depth knowledge and proven application of Project Management methodologies and full project life cycle including documentation standards, risk, issue, assumption and dependency management and change controls process. Ability to support repetitive and phased software implementations impacting customer facing channels. PMP certification and Lean, Six-Sigma Training or Certification are strongly preferred. Prior experience in a matrix environment helpful. Complete familiarity with the Microsoft Office platform of products required. Working knowledge of applicable project management software strongly preferred.
