A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

Georgia-Pacific is looking for an IT Programmer Analyst on its Engineering Systems team in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  This team manages Engineering applications supporting the Engineering work processes including CAD, Stress Analysis, Simulation and Document Management across North America for the Consumer Products, Containerboard and Cellulose businesses.  The application portfolio includes a combination of purchased and locally developed programs. 


  • Participation in projects requiring full project life cycle (requirements, design, development, testing, implementation)
  • Contributing to task identification, work effort estimates, and work schedules for development and maintenance activities       
  • Technical support of business applications for bug fixes & enhancements      
  • Assisting users with day to day production support

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or related technical degree) or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of Windows and Desktop software installation

  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming practices

  • Knowledge of programming languages like C#, VB or similar

  • Knowledge of databases like SQL, Oracle or similar

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
  • Experience with installing/supporting Purchased software packages

  • Experience with PowerShell

  • Experience with user interface design and development

  • Experience with SQL

  • Experience with Visual Studio and TFS

  • Knowledge of networking and servers

  • Experience analyzing user specifications and requirements

  • Professional experience in system design and programming for business purposes including programming, testing, debugging, documenting program code, and developing program user documentation

  • Experience with Web Development Tools Angular, Web API or WCF, C# .NET languages

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services environment
