We are seeking a talented, driven individual for the role of Product Owner within the Product Engineering team here at Homesite. The ideal candidate for this position is a strong motivator who is comfortable taking ownership of products and delivering on our vision for the future. This person should be results-oriented, comfortable gathering and analyzing information to make informed decisions and adept at leading large, cross-functional teams. Our teams move at a rapid pace and leading one will require the ability to plan effectively, adapt and pivot as obstacles arise or plans change and keep the group aligned on long term goals.
In this role, you will be responsible for working closely with both business and IT teams to deliver on a portfolio of projects and initiatives, with a focus on Home, Renters, and Condo products as part of the Best in Homeowners program. You will also contribute to the adoption of scaled Agile practices as we transform the way we deliver and manage new products and enhancements. As Product Owner, some of your core responsibilities will be to lead the team through sprint planning, backlog grooming, research and analysis of new initiatives, sizing and scheduling.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with the appropriate business and IT groups to ensure that requests are prioritized and delivered effectively to support business initiatives.
Clearly and concisely communicate product and project status, progress and issues across multiple teams and levels within the organization.
Create and maintain process documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and best practices are established and followed.
Motivate and inspire other team members and ensure they have the tools and training required to perform effectively.
Inspire and drive innovation, improvement, and Agile methodology adoption.
Lead a diverse team comprised of analysts, developers and QA engineers.
Drive change and deliver insights to our team and business partners by analyzing and interpreting data.
