The successful candidate for this position will serve as a senior expert to executive management, and must demonstrate knowledge of broad concepts, policies and procedures related to the development, management, and implantation of financial information systems with university-wide impact, as well as proven skills in leading a high-performance team.
Experience and skills required:
- Extensive project management skills to accomplish complex technology initiatives and to direct the development and implementation of solutions to highly complex business problems that can have University-wide impact.
- Extensive knowledge of financial processing and reporting and must understand key integration procedures. Knowledge of web development and understanding of the legacy system is imperative. Knowledge of networks and virtual environments, as well as awareness of current and emerging technology capabilities and trends is required.
- High accountability for department staff and various technology projects that are implemented and maintained for the Corporate Controller’s area and the University. The successful candidate must exercise a high level or integrity and self-management, as well as develop goals and objectives that support the team’s high level of performance.
- High level of communication and diplomacy skills to direct customer service and continuing education initiatives for internal users of the financial systems, as well as create and maintain relationships with external vendors. This position communicates at all levels of the university. These communications often involve significant and complex situations, and the successful candidate must be able to relay this information in a way that is objective and adaptive to the audience.
This job will be filled as a level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience.
Bachelor's degree or higher
Four (4) years of related experience for a level 3. Additional experience required for higher levels.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
