Cobham is seeking a Information Technology Manager at our Concord, CA location.
We are looking a highly seasoned manufacturing manager, with 10+ years of experience, preferably in a high-tech environment. Must have extensive experience in managing integration lines (final assembly), along with proven abilities in managing complex assemblies. Satellite communications, RF or similar experience highly desirable. This is a fast-paced, energetic environment with daily challenges that requires a strong individual who can handle a myriad of responsibilities from budget tracking, staffing, resource allocation, planning and managing in a complex environment. Manages all of Sea Tel’s integration production lines. Responsible for insuring total cost (material, labor and overhead) goals are met. Provides supervision for assigned personnel to include selection, training, performance evaluation and related duties
Maintains information technology strategies by managing staff; researching and implementing technological strategic solutions
Accomplishes information technology staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and conducting disciplinary procedures where necessary;
Maintains staff by coordinating efforts with Human Resource to recruit, select orientate and train employees;
Maintains organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies;
Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies , practices and user projects;
Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center;
Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures;
Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements;
Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards;
Remains current to all relevant technological trends
Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software
Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating systems;
Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources;
Ensure hardware is stripped and secured before disposal;
Advice staff of security breach and/or change in password or security status
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certifications
10+ years of experience in a Technical Managerial role
Leading local teams and direct end users with global responsibilities
Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting computer viruses and security, e-mail and internet programs, computer networks, network administration and network installation and computer troubleshooting
Experience with budget tracking, staffing, resource allocation, planning and managing in a complex environment.
Experience in managing integration lines (final assembly), along with proven abilities in managing complex assemblies
Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, full working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems required
Satellite communications, RF or similar experience highly desirable
Experience with Portman
