IT Internal Auditor at Lazard Ltd. in New York, NY

Position Overview: This position will report to the current IT Internal Auditor and will be the 2nd of two dedicated Information Technology (IT) internal auditors within the Lazard Internal Audit group. Major responsibilities include completion of annual SOX IT testing, ongoing assessment of NIST framework cybersecurity controls, and IT support of financial/operational audits, including query analysis of large data sets.

This position will have significant interaction at the CIO, CISO, and Director levels. The position will also require communication with and successful auditing of operations in Paris, Frankfurt, and London. Travel will be limited (i.e. less than 10%) with most international audit work done remotely from New York.

Requirements: The successful candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in either IT internal audit, SOX IT compliance testing, cybersecurity controls assessment, or some combination thereof. Given the level of exposure to senior management and international staff, the successful candidate will need to provide examples of how they have successfully communicated with senior management and/or international staff in order obtain successful agreement on sensitive topics like significant audit findings. The successful candidate will also need to provide examples of how they designed/structured their audit work in the past in order to identify significant audit findings OR provided a very high degree of assurance beyond mere sampling in order to demonstrate that all transactions were valid.

Additional Desirable Attributes: Candidates who have experience using data query & formatting tools (particularly ACL & Monarch) will be welcome. Candidates who have experience with SAP (financial accounting), Service Now (IT change management & request management), or Prevalent (3rd party vendor management) will quickly adjust to Lazard’s environment. Finally, candidates who have some degree of French or German language skills will be of significant help with French and German audits.
