Job Description

Primary Purpose:

Responsible for leading Infrastructure projects in support of the Technical Infrastructure project portfolio, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget, in scope and within quality constraints. Work across IT to align and assign technical resources and support the process of forecasting, procuring and building infrastructure in order to meet project requirements. Responsibilities include managing the project governance and budget processes, as well as the elicitation of customer requirements, documentation and cataloging, prioritization and ranking, ensuring quality and testability, traceability, and requirements change management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in project portfolio planning
  • Facilitate requirements gathering process and definition / creation of WBS
  • Develop Project Charter working with project stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain project schedules
  • Coordinate resource allocation between project teams and project timelines
  • Manage Infrastructure work related to various projects, track resource utilization & financialreporting
  • Coordinate status meetings between teams
  • Maintain and provide reporting on project related issues, risks and recommendations
  • Establish project communication plans including status reporting to Stakeholders
  • Create and deliver polished presentations to all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrate accountability and ownership of all activities in the approved scope of work and project goals
  • Participate in the Change Management process by communicating upcoming changes and potential impacts
  • Manages stakeholder interaction and expectations
  • Manage and orchestrate the final acceptance of all project deliverables, acquiring signoff and closing project activities as required

  • 3 years managing/coordinating Infrastructure related efforts
  • Good understanding and experience with Project Management delivery methods and tools
  • Detailed knowledge of the Project Life Cycle
  • Capable of managing complex issues in a frequently changing environment
  • Proven experience with client services and support
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong ability to manage timelines, milestones and budgets
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization
  • Possess leadership skills and the ability to motivate teams and business partners
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
  • Working knowledge of ITIL, COBIT, or similar IT related frameworks
  • IT hardware and software procurement experience a strong plus

Desired Skills:

  • BachelorDegree in an IT related field
  • PMP certification
  • IT hardware and software procurement experience
  • Understanding of fundamental enterprise platforms and operating systems to include VMware and Microsoft Server
  • Previous experience as a Windows/Linux Systems Administrator, LAN/WAN Engineer or similar Infrastructure related role
