The IT Generalist role will provide a wide range of support and customer service on various hardware and software issues in a chemical manufacturing environment.
Responsible for all local IT leadership and service. Provide hands on services and support while managing another IT onsite supporter. (Potential to manage resources at other plant sites, dependent upon candidate success). Must be adaptable to changing priorities, processes and projects while maintaining excellence in day to day activities. Must possess the ability to process knowledge quickly and put to practical use. Will interact as a conduit between business activities and IT leadership. Will work to align, document, and improve processes. Must be able to work independently to problem solve and manage escalations.
Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing facility and maintain a safety-first mentality on every task.
Strong knowledge and support of PC hardware and software while maintaining SLA’s
Thorough working knowledge of all aspects of Microsoft TCP/IP network environment to include but is not limited to
Working knowledge of computer security and proactively support the corporate IT security initiatives.
Technical resource to plant personnel in regard to enhancing current systems and formulation of future projects, their supervision and cost management.
