Role will report to a Manager in IT Engineering & Applications. Role will not have any direct reports. Key Interfaces: Local mill system users, local mill leadership team, Business Partner, Solution Engineer, Project Manager, Enterprise Architect. Business Client External Interfaces: Consultant & 3rd Party provider. Travel may include approximately 10% of work time.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Functional leader of medium to large projects for a specific business capability. Accountable across multiple functional and technical areas with wide range of complexity.
  • Proactive analysis of business processes and identification of innovative ways to address near term business needs which includes identifying these opportunities, reviewing and obtaining a disposition decision from the appropriate business client, assessing the fit of these opportunities into current initiatives, or including the opportunity in future demand.
  • Map the Customer Journey and partner with the business in the co-creation of solutions that add value to K-C.
  • Drives the evaluation of the factors which must be addressed in the change program.
  • Maintains in-depth understanding of both KCP and Consumer business processes for their capability area.
  • Influences policy formation; contributes to User Groups; contribution to strategic direction.
  • Leads Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives; consults and shares knowledge across org; full awareness of industry and technology trends that can bring K-C a competitive advantage.

Key Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree; Professional experience with a minimum of 5 years of Information Technologyexperience including working directly with business clients.
  • Experience of (MES) Manufacturing Execution Systems, preferred working knowledge of GE Proficy & OSi Data historian
  • Working knowledge of Industrial Control Systems, OPC Interfaces, Modbus, RS Linx
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, proficient in building & maintaining complex reports
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment with an understanding of KPI’s, Operation Efficiency (OEE)
  • Provide hands on support, additionally responsible for gathering business requirements for system enhancements
  • Coordination of mill specific projects relating to MES & integration to existing & new systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills & ability to collaborate & communicate at all levels
  • Conduct weekly and adhoc meetings with Engineering and Manufacturing SME's
  • Single Point of Contact between mill & ITS teams for MES support, enhancement & project activities
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure hardware components, Servers, Networking, Firewalls. Experience of scanner / handheld & labelling technologies
  • Experience in providing end user training / MS Excel training to key operation team members
  • SQL & VB programing an advantage.
  • Provide department based training (Operator User Training / Excel Add-in training)
  • Support and troubleshoot Manufacturing Execution Systems related issues with Manufacturing Assets (5 Tissue Machines, 23+ Converting Lines)
  • OEE Site support (Family Care)
  • Implement changes defined by COE, troubleshoot data discrepancies
  • Work with Engineering and Manufacturing to implement/maintain PI tags
  • Experience of leading assigned IT Projects and/or Programs.
  • Knowledgeable in Requirements management, with foundational understanding of Architecture and Technology management.
  • Knowledge in applying agile methodologies.  Understands how to coordinate the flow of work between agile teams and more traditional project based teams. 
  • Understanding of digital enablers and technologies such as embedded Analytics, design for Automation, UX, and modern integration.
  • Has experience developing applications and able to apply that experience to identify opportunities, design initiatives that improve business process and ensure best practices are being followed.
  • Experience with deploying and driving execution via performance measurement, benchmarking, and related visual management.
  • Held prior accountabilities that required influencing leaders outside of administrative authority.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience Influencing people in offsite and remote locations.
  • Proven service delivery skills.
  • Cultivates networking opportunities with peer organizations.
  • Broad range of business and IT experiences; preferably achieved technical and/or business certification(s).
  • Verbal and written fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Ability to work in a virtual team which may work across distance (remote), cultures and time zones, in a matrix with multiple reporting lines, and may extend outside the K-C organization including suppliers, partners and customers.
