As an IT Field Specialist, you will provide second level Desktop & LANsupport for users at various offices and remote jobsites as well as mentor other IT Field Specialists when needed.

Responsibilities

  • With minimal level of supervision, provide a higher level of customer service
  • Manages workload and priorities without day-to-day guidance from management
  • Successfully build customer relationships and manage customer expectations
  • Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade all PC hardware/software and related equipment, with some installation and occasional troubleshooting of various networked components such as routers, switches, servers, access control systems, wireless access points, UPS’s, and phone systems
  • Interface directly with regional IT management on various IT projects, remote jobsite spin-up’s and teardown’s, in addition, all outstanding issues pertaining to their assigned district
  • Respond to Track-IT based tickets, performing on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop problems for end-users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software in order to deliver required desktop service levels
  • Collaborate with systems engineers to ensure efficient operation of the company’s desktop computing environment
  • Maintain an inventory of all front/backend equipment for their assigned district
  • Coordinate and liaise with LEC’s, ISP’s, and cabling contractors
  • Assist with the development of technical and procedural documentation as directed
  • Act as business liaison on assigned district and communicate business needs to IT management
  • Maintains knowledge of Flatiron’s company values and strategic plan
  • Support published corporate policies
  • Perform additional assignments per management’s direction

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution and 5years related experience and/or training
  • Advanced knowledge of current protocols, Windows XP/Vista/7/8, Android & iOS, Active Directory and networking concepts/principles
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), A+ Certification, Network+ Certification preferred
  • Required company or regulatory certifications
  • Required company Safety certifications
